Loko Iʻa Kapapapuhi

The Kapapapuhi Restoration Project is dedicated to restoring the largest freshwater and estuary system on Oʻahu, located in Honouliuli, ʻEwa, along Kaihuopalaʻai, West Loch. Once part of Puʻuloa’s thriving network of over 30 loko iʻa and loʻi kalo, these lands are now being revitalized to combat food insecurity and restore traditional sustainability practices. As stewards of three loko iʻa in Kapapapuhi Point Park, we rely on a strong community of volunteers—over 20,000 and counting—who join us in the collective kuleana of mālama ʻāina to ensure abundance for future generations.
