For more than two decades, the Waipā Foundation has cared for 1,600 acres of the Waipā ahupua‘a through a lease with Kamehameha Schools. Situated along Hanalei Bay in Kaua‘i’s Halele‘a district, Waipā is one of nine ahupua‘a in the region. It serves as a gathering place where people can reconnect with the ʻāina—our source of life—and experience Hawaiian traditions through laulima, the spirit of working together.
